Open Skies 61-2672 Retired

Nearly one year ago, we captured images of the last arrival of OC-135 61-2672 coming in to Tinker, bringing a crew to take the sister ship 61-2670 back home to Offutt AFB.

Today, 672 was retired from active service, with the mission ended with the last administration and not picked back up with our current administration.

Without a mission, the aircraft no longer serves a purpose in the USAF. She will be retired to the 309th AMARG at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ.

Her sister, 61-2670 will be retired from active service on June 4, 2021.

Outside of the main gate at Tinker AFB is their sister 61-2671. On May 27, 2020, all three aircraft were at Tinker AFB together for the last time.
